The news of merger of JJP, which ran the government in alliance with BJP for about 4 and a half years in Haryana, with BJP has given sleepless nights to the senior leaders of JJP. After the news related to the merger of the party came, former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala has given a sharp reaction.

On the official X (earlier Twitter) account of JJP, the party wrote, ‘A misleading and baseless news about Jannayak Janata Party has been propagated in a newspaper and on a TV channel. The party completely denies such wrong news and legal notice is being sent against those who published the news.’

At the same time, Dushyant Chautala wrote on X, ‘I am extremely disappointed and angry with the irresponsible spread of a baseless news related to JJP on many platforms. Our party will take legal action against those responsible. Truth must prevail.’

JJP became restless after the news came out

Let us tell you that a day earlier, a reputed newspaper and TV channel broadcasted the news that JJP may merge with BJP. In that report, it was claimed that former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala had a meeting with former Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Delhi. Also, Dushyant can get a big post in the Center from Rajya Sabha quota and his brother Digvijay Chautala can get important responsibility in the Haryana organization.

After such news was published, there was a stir in JJP. Dushyant Chautala himself had to post on social media to refute these news. Also, the party is talking about taking legal action against those who spread such news.

The alliance of both broke on 12 March

Actually, in the 2019 assembly elections, BJP could not get full majority in Haryana. Due to this, the government was formed in the state by forming an alliance with JJP which won 10 seats. In this government, Khattar was made CM and Dushyant Chautala from JJP quota was made Deputy CM. Everything went well for about 4 and a half years, but on March 12 this year, Khattar suddenly resigned from the CM post and the alliance of both the parties broke.

Both parties suffered losses in the Lok Sabha elections

Later, with the support of independent MLAs, BJP again formed the government under the leadership of Nayab Saini. In the Lok Sabha elections, both BJP and JJP contested separately. While BJP lost 5 out of 10 Lok Sabha seats, JJP lost badly. Dushyant Chautala’s mother Naina Chautala herself lost badly from Hisar seat.
