Daink Haryana, New Delhi: In Dhandhoor village adjoining Delhi-Fazilka national highway, grandparents and grandson committed suicide by swallowing poisonous substance. The deceased have been identified as Pratap, his wife Bimla and their grandson Naseeb. The family used to do farming by taking contract land near the village for about 10 years.
This land belongs to a person living in Hisar. It is being told that even after taking contract land and doing farming, when the land owner did not settle the accounts, the family got upset and consumed poison. However, the police is still investigating this matter. Earlier, on knowing that they had swallowed intoxicants, the neighbors admitted all three to Maharaja Agrasen Civil Hospital. Here, during treatment, grandson Naseeb died first. After this, grandparents also died.
According to the police, Pratap was originally a resident of Dabda village. He used to live in Dhandhoor village and do farming by taking contract land. He used to manage the entire farm and in return he used to get 10th part of the produce. This was the livelihood of the entire family. Pratap’s son is a drug addict. Due to this Pratap’s grandson Naseeb used to stay with his grandparents.
Pratap’s son used to not come home for many days due to intoxication. The responsibility of the entire family was on Pratap’s shoulders. Pratap’s son and Naseeb’s parents had divorced many years ago. After this the father got married for the second time but this marriage also could not last.
During this time Naseeb’s father became a drug addict. Even when the family consumed poison the drug addict son was not at home. Sadar police station is busy taking action. But till now no one’s statement has been recorded in this case.
