Maharashtra Police Headquarters has distributed ‘Crime Information Booklet’ to all Police Stations and Divisions to help Police Officers in adapting old laws to new laws.

With this manual, the state police have implemented detailed standard operating procedures to deal with serious crimes, crimes against women and children, property crimes, economic crimes, organized crimes, terrorist acts and accidents. A database of the system has been prepared in the form of this booklet.

Thus, the confusion regarding the sections and investigation while filing the case can be easily avoided, said the officer. Apart from this, guide books have also been distributed at the local level.

Mumbai Police will also implement the new laws from today. For this, training camps were organized for officers and employees. Mumbai Police has so far trained more than 1800 officers and more than 8000 employees in more than 30 training sessions. Comparable charts and record books have been prepared in the police station for recording under the new laws.
