Weather Monsoon Update: Heavy rains expected, 15 states warned by Met department, red alert in these states

Today’s Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains in 15 states of the country and has issued a red alert for Gujarat. Monsoon has dominated the entire country, so high alert has been issued in many areas.

State of alert in states
The IMD has issued an orange alert for rain in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rain is likely to occur in Jammu and Kashmir in the next three days. Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are likely to receive heavy rain till July 6.

Atmosphere of Delhi
The predictions of the IMD in the capital of the country, Delhi, have been failing for the past few days. However, many parts of Delhi received rain on Wednesday evening, making the atmosphere pleasant. IMD has warned of rain in Delhi till July 6.

Climate of other states

According to Skymet Weather, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain at isolated places over Northeast India, Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, East Gujarat, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

West Bengal, East Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Odisha, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra and Ganga plains of Kutch and Lakshadweep may experience light to moderate rain. Light rain is likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Rayalaseema, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Tamil Nadu.

Monsoon has left its mark in various parts of India and many states have been warned of heavy rains. All citizens are advised to be alert and follow the instructions of the Meteorological Department. While these monsoon rains can be a boon for farmers, they also need to be wary of possible flooding and waterlogging.
