Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan today in a program organized in the Superintendent of Police office honored the Sarpanch and Sarpanch representatives of three villages declared drug free in Sadar police station area by giving them mementoes on behalf of the District Police.

On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan honored Village Farmai Kalan Sarpanch representative Rohit Kumar, Village Farmai Khurd Sarpanch representative Bhupendra Singh and Village Mirpur Sarpanch representative Baljeet Singh on behalf of the Police Department.

On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that other Gram Panchayats should also follow the drug-free villages and cooperate with the police administration in making their villages drug-free. The Superintendent of Police said that to completely eliminate drug addiction from the society, every person should ensure his participation in the campaign being run against drug addiction.

The Superintendent of Police said that all the Gram Panchayats, social organizations and youth clubs should play their leading role in the campaign being run against drug addiction so that the society can be completely made drug-free.

Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that the district police is running a strong campaign against drug addiction at its level, under which the drug smugglers are being tightened and the youth are also being made aware against drug addiction through various sports activities and programs.

He said on this occasion that the positive results of the campaign being run by the district police against drug addiction are coming out. He said that inspired by the police campaign, while the youth are moving towards education and sports activities, many drug addicts have taken the initiative to quit drugs, who have been treated with the help of the local administration and have been included in the mainstream of society again.

Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said on this occasion that active participation of every person is very important in the public movement being run against drugs, so that the campaign against drugs can be made completely successful.

He said on this occasion that when every person of the society takes complete responsibility of his village, street and locality, and neither he himself consumes drugs nor allows drugs to be sold around him, then definitely the society will be drug free. Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said on this occasion that till now 94 villages and four wards of Sirsa city have been declared drug free by the district police.

The Superintendent of Police said that the district police has identified villages affected by drug abuse and is organising awareness programmes there, and drug-addicted youths are being treated with the help of the local administration. He said that soon some other villages will also be declared drug-free.

On this occasion, Sadar police station in-charge Sub Inspector Sandeep Kumar, Security Branch in-charge Prem Kumar and Sarpanch and Sarpanch representatives of the three villages declared drug-free were present.
