As reported by Autocar, Eishin Chihana, chairman of Yamaha India, said of the Yamaha RX100, “This bike is very special for India, its style, light weight, power and sound have made it very popular among people.” Since its launch in India, the bike was equipped with a two-stroke engine. “Now to launch this bike as a four-stroke model, it would have to use at least a 200cc engine and in such a case it would be difficult to include all these things, especially since this bike cannot get the same sound.”

According to this report,ย Chihana said, “We have no intention of ruining the RX 100 craze, so we will not launch it until we are sure that we can create a good and light bike with decent performance. With the current line-up, 155cc is not enough.”
Although the company has not categorically ruled out the launch of this bike, if you are planning to enjoy this bike ride in the near future, then definitely not. Yamaha is working on it and when the bike arrives it is expected to have a high performance engine that will be larger than 200 cc.
