WagonR : Maruti Suzuki India’s parent company, Suzuki Motor Corporation, has recently patented the design of the eWX electric hatchback in India. The company claims that the car will have a range of up to 230km on a full charge.

A possible electric version of the popular sedan
The eWX electric car could be an electric version of the company’s popular hatchback, the WagonR. The concept model has already been showcased at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2024 and the Japan Mobility Show 2023. It is expected to compete with Tata Tiago EV, Citroen eC3 and MG Comet EV in the Indian market.

Maruti Suzuki’s EVX electric SUV will enter the Indian electric car market in early 2025. Meanwhile, the company’s affordable compact EV, the eWX, could be launched before 2026 with a price tag of around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
