Dainik Haryana: On Saturday evening, Meta’s social media platform WhatsApp experienced some technical glitches, affecting millions of users around the world. According to outage tracking website Downdetector, as of 5:30 PM IST, around 600 users had reported that WhatsApp was down. By 7:30 PM, the number had increased to around 800.
There are problems sending messages to groups.
According to Downdetector’s data, around 88% of users reported having problems sending messages, while 10% of users were experiencing general issues with the app. At the same time, 2% of users have reported having problems logging in. People are particularly having problems sending messages to WhatsApp groups.
Users in India, the US and several other countries have reported that WhatsApp is crashing. Many users shared screenshots on social media and claimed that their messages were not being delivered.
The reason is not yet known?
At present, the reason behind this sudden technical glitch is unknown. No official statement has been issued by Meta or WhatsApp in this regard.
