Chandigarh: Chief Minister Nayab Saini said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has deposited an amount of Rs 335 crore in the accounts of 16 lakh farmers of Haryana state with just one click. This amount has been deposited as the 17th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

80 percent of the farmers with small holdings are getting benefit from this scheme. With this amount, farmers can buy medicines, seeds for crops and now farmers do not have to depend on anyone for this. The important aspect is that as soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi became Prime Minister for the third time, with his first pen, an amount of Rs 20 thousand crore has been deposited in the accounts of 9 crore 26 lakh farmers of the country.

Chief Minister Nayab Saini was speaking at a state-level program organized for depositing the 17th installment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the auditorium of NDRI Karnal on Tuesday under the joint aegis of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Haryana, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and NDRI.

After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi deposited an amount of Rs 20 thousand crore in the accounts of 9.26 crore farmers from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Out of this, an amount of Rs 335 crore has been deposited in the accounts of 16 lakh farmers of Haryana state. During this, Chief Minister Nayab Saini also listened to the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the workers. After this, Chief Minister Nayab Saini symbolically presented letters of gratitude to 10 Krishi Sakhis in the auditorium of NDRI.

The Chief Minister said that he expressed gratitude for giving the gift of crores of rupees every year to crores of farmers of the country under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. While congratulating and wishing the people of the state on Nirjala Ekadashi, Mr. Saini said that in the last 10 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented various beneficial schemes from time to time to strengthen the economic condition of farmers, including the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Honor Fund Scheme, Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, Kisan Credit Card Scheme, Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, taking care of farmers with two and a half acres of land, implemented the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Honor Fund Scheme and under this scheme, an amount of Rs 20 thousand crore has been deposited in the accounts of 9 crore 26 lakh farmers of the country with a single stroke of a pen. Out of this amount, an amount of Rs 335 crore has been deposited in the accounts of 16 lakh farmers of the state.

CM Saini said that to strengthen the economic condition of the farmers, the state government has deposited an amount of Rs 12,500 crore directly into the accounts of the farmers as compensation for crop damage from the year 2014 till now, whereas the previous governments gave compensation of only Rs 1100 crore to the farmers from the year 2000 to 2014.

The government worked to end the black marketing of DAP and urea fertilizers and long queues. Despite the increase in the price of DAP and urea at the international level in the year 2022-23, the government took a decision in the cabinet to compensate the prices of urea and DAP at the government level and the farmers had to pay only Rs 1200 per bag. Not only this, the state government worked to give MSP on 14 crops.

CM Saini said that Haryana is the first state to give MSP on the highest number of crops. Along with this, the state government also worked to give the price of crops to the farmers under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana on vegetables and for the convenience of the farmers, it was linked to e-mandi so that the farmers can go to any place and sell their crops at a profitable price.

Apart from this, the government also worked to provide the benefit of Kisan Train. The intention of the government is clear that it is implementing the schemes by focusing on topics like strengthening the economic condition of the farmers, reducing the cost of crops and also increasing the income.

Chief Minister gave certificates to Krishi Sakhis

Chief Minister Nayab Saini said that to make women self-reliant and self-sufficient, women of self-help groups who are associated with agriculture work are being helped by the government to move further in the field of agriculture. The Chief Minister presented certificates to Praveena, Rajni, Manpreet Kaur, Lakshmi, Devi, Bala, Mamta, Krishna, Geeta and Sukhwinder Kaur among the women of the self-help group formed by Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission.

While welcoming the guests, Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan said that the Central and State Government have always prepared schemes keeping in mind the interests of the farmers. This government has also worked to give direct benefits of the schemes to small landholding farmers. The government is depositing money directly in the accounts of these farmers so that the farmers can buy medicines and seeds.

In the program, NDRI Director Dheer Singh expressed his gratitude to the guests and threw light on the work done by NDRI for the farmers.

Director General of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Haryana Raj Narayan Kaushik also expressed his views. Assistant Director General of ICAR Dr. RK Singh thanked the guests at the end of the program. At the end of this program, NDRI Director Dr. Dheer Singh presented a memento to the Chief Minister.
