Chandigarh, With the aim of providing employment guarantee to Agniwars in Haryana, Chief Minister Mr. Nayab Singh Saini made a historic announcement and said that Agniwars will be given employment in the posts of constable, mining guard, forest guard, jail warden and SPO recruited by the state government. 10 percent horizontal reservation will be provided in direct recruitment to the posts of Agniveers.
The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference here today. He said that the ‘Agnipath’ scheme was implemented by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on June 14, 2022. Under this scheme, Agniveers are deployed in the Indian Army for 4 years.
Agniveers will get 5 percent horizontal reservation in direct recruitment to civil posts in Group-C and 1 percent horizontal reservation in Group-B
Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that the government has also decided that these Agniveers will be provided relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age prescribed for government posts in Group-B and C. However, in the case of the first batch of Agniveers, this age relaxation will be of 5 years.
He said that the government will provide 5 percent horizontal reservation for Agniveers in direct recruitment to civil posts in Group-C and 1 percent horizontal reservation in Group-B.
Interest subsidy will be given on loan up to Rs 5 lakh if Agniveer sets up his own enterprise
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has also decided that if Agniveer is given a salary of more than Rs 30,000 per month by any industrial unit, then the State Government will give a subsidy of Rs 60,000 annually to that industrial unit. Not only this, if an Agniveer sets up his own enterprise, then interest subsidy will be provided by the government on loan up to Rs 5 lakh.
Shri Nayab Singh Saini said that Agniveers will be given gun license on priority basis. Agniveers seeking deployment in government departments / boards / corporations will be given priority in matrix score.
