Ritika Hooda is a resident of Kharkada village in Rohtak district. His father Jagbir Hooda is a farmer. Before joining wrestling, his father Jagbir inspired him to play handball. After this the father felt that individual sports offered more opportunities.

So he took Ritika to Chhotu Ram Akhara in 2015. There, coach Mandeep recognized his potential.

Ritika Hooda said that her coaches and parents played an important role in getting her this far. His father Jagbir Hooda brings him food, drink and sports related things in every situation. His mother Neelam takes care of his food and drink. Coach Mandeep trains him well on the field. The surrounding people also fully support him. Whatever God gives, she will be happy.
