lok sabha election 2024 date: Election 2024 6th Phase Voting Live Updates: Voting has begun in 58 constituencies across seven states and one Union Territory (UT) in the 6th phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Voting takes place in a single phase in Delhi and Haryana. Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are held simultaneously in Odisha.

Till 3 pm, 49.2 percent voting took place. In Phase 6, the highest turnout was recorded in West Bengal at more than 52% and the lowest turnout was recorded in Delhi at 34.4%.

Today, 543 Lok Sabha elections and 486 constituency elections will be completed. Voting will be completed only in Haryana, Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir. The Election Commission has asked the polling officers and officials to take adequate measures to mitigate the consequences of rising temperatures in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh due to the heatwave across North India.

 

Voters in the following seven states and one union territory will cast their votes: eight seats each in Bihar and Bengal, seven in Delhi, 10 in Haryana, four in Jharkhand, 14 in Uttar Pradesh and the last seat in Jammu and Kashmir – Anantnag-Rajouri, where voting will be held in the third to seventh phase. .

Some important places in this phase include New Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi and Chandni Chowk in the national capital and Sultanpur and Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. Anantnag-Rajouri of Jammu and Kashmir, Tamluk, Medinipur of West Bengal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Gurgaon of Haryana and Bhubaneswar, Puri and Sambalpur of Odisha or others are important cities.
