The journey of the people of Haryana is going to be pleasant soon. Roadways has completed the tender process for the purchase of 650 new buses. These include 500 non AC standard and 150 HVAC buses. After the purchase of these buses, the department will start the process of purchasing 518 other new buses, in which 500 HVAC buses and 18 luxury buses will be purchased. Currently, the Transport Department has 6 Volvo buses, 12 Mercedes, 153 HVAC, 3 CNG, 10 Simi low floor buses, 278 mini buses, 3203 plain buses.
The Transport Department will have 5395 buses in its fleet
At present, Haryana Roadways has 4227 buses in its fleet. Out of these, 562 buses are included under the kilometer scheme. After the government purchases 1168 new buses, the Transport Department will have 5,395 buses in its fleet.
Washrooms of 6 district bus stands will be improved
On the instructions of the State Transport Minister Aseem Goyal, instructions have been given to start a campaign to clean the toilets of all the bus stands and depots of the state. Under this, the Transport Department will first improve the toilets of the main bus stands in 6 districts of the state. Departmental teams will inspect the toilets and find out the shortcomings. The responsibility of cleaning toilets can be given to private hands, work on this plan is underway.
