Taking an important step towards promoting youth empowerment and employment in the state, the state government led by Chief Minister Naib Singh has prepared IT Saksham Yuva Yojana-2024, under which a target has been set to employ 5 thousand youth in the first phase. Prepared in line with Mission @ 60,000 during the budget speech for the year 2024-25, this scheme aims to employ 60,000 youth from poor families.

Under this scheme, employment will be provided to youth (graduates/postgraduates) with IT background, who will do Haryana IT Program (specially designed short-term courses) for a minimum period of 3 months and thereafter will be posted in various departments/boards/corporations/districts/registered societies/agencies or private entities in the state of Haryana.

IT capable youth will be given a monthly remuneration of Rs 20,000 in the first 6 months and thereafter Rs 25,000 will be given monthly by indenting institutions from the seventh month. If an IT capable youth cannot be deployed, then in that case the government will give him unemployment allowance of Rs 10,000 per month. The government will facilitate in providing employment opportunities to these trained IT capable youth.


‘Mukhyamantri Shahri Awas Yojana’ approved to provide affordable housing to the poor

Taking an important step to provide affordable housing to the economically weaker sections (EWS) of the society, the policy for the Chief Minister Urban Housing Scheme has been approved in the cabinet meeting. Under this policy, housing facilities will be provided to all those poor families of the state who either do not have their own house in urban areas or they live in kutcha houses at present. Initially, housing is to be provided to 1 lakh economically weaker families under this scheme.

Approval of Ordinance to amend Haryana Village Common Land (Regulation) Act 1961
The meeting approved the introduction of an ordinance to further amend the Haryana Village Common Land (Regulation) Act 1961. As per the proposed amendment, ownership of land in Shamlat Deh, which was allotted on lease basis for a period of 20 years under the East Punjab Land Use Act 1949 and the said land has been in cultivable possession with the original allottee, transferor or their legal heirs, will be excluded from the purview of Shamlat Deh with immediate effect. This decision will benefit thousands of farmers of the state who have been cultivating such land for decades.


Cowshed to be built in Rangla of Nuh

In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naib Singh, with the objective of providing shelter to helpless cows, a proposal to lease 7 acres 4 kanal 7 marla land of Gram Panchayat Rangla block Tawadu district Nuh to Matridhara Cow Protection and Conservation Trust for 20 years for building a cowshed for 1000-1500 animals was approved.

In the cabinet meeting, a proposal to remove Jind’s villages Badanpur and Sundarpura from Tehsil Uchana and include them in Tehsil Narwana was approved. Now the tehsil and sub-divisional headquarters of these villages will be Narwana.

Bhagat Jayaram College will be acquired

In the meeting, approval was given to the acquisition of Amarnath Bhagat Jayaram Girls College located in village Serdha, Kaithal by the state government. The cabinet has taken this decision reflecting commitment towards higher education and accepting the persistent demand of the local community. This institute will now function under the aegis of the state government with all its available facilities.
