Panipat : CIA Three Police Team achieved great success in exposing the robbery incident at gunpoint in Mitra branch of PNB Bank located in Baljit Nagar within just 48 hours and arresting 6 accused including the kingpin of the gang.
The accused were identified as Prashant 28 resident of Purkhas, Ajay 23 resident of Kard Hall Sheikhpura, Sahil 21 resident of Pugthala, Prince 23 resident of Jua, Mohit 29 resident of Kundli Sonipat and Keshav 18 resident of Dhoop Singh Nagar Panipat. Accused Keshav has studied up to 10th standard and all other accused have studied up to 12th standard. This was the first crime of accused Mohit.
The other five accused have been found to have criminal records earlier as well. The accused had looted about 4 lakh rupees at gunpoint from the Mitra branch of PNB Bank. Apart from this crime, 3 other incidents of vehicle robbery were revealed from the accused.
The robbery was done on Friday morning
Superintendent of Police Ajit Singh Shekhawat, while giving detailed information about the above case in a press conference at the camp office on Monday, said that on last Friday morning, masked miscreants carried out a robbery at gunpoint at the Mitra branch of Punjab National Bank located in Baljit Nagar.
As soon as the information of the crime was received, the team of all three CIA and Chandni Bagh police station reached the spot and started investigation on various aspects and on the complaint of Haris son Indra Singh resident of Baljit Nagar, a case was registered at Chandni Bagh police station and legal action was taken.

In Chandni Bagh police station, Haris had told the police in his complaint that he has opened a Mitra branch of Punjab National Bank in Baljit Nagar. Vikas son of Tukanarayan has also been employed in the branch. On June 14, Vikas was sitting in the branch and he was sitting at his brother’s medical store adjacent to it. Suddenly, neighbor Nanhe came and told that 4 masked boys with weapons have entered the branch to loot.
When he reached the branch with his brother Pradeep, he saw that the masked miscreants had frightened the servant Vikas and made him sit on a chair and had put all the money in a bag. The miscreants also had ice breaking needles in their hands. When both the brothers opposed the miscreants, one of the miscreants stabbed Pradeep’s hand with the needle. Seeing the crowd gathering, the accused left their bike on the spot and fled from the spot waving weapons in the air with the bag full of money.
6 police teams were formed.
Superintendent of Police Ajit Singh Shekhawat said that as soon as the matter came to his notice, he had formed 6 teams to arrest the accused. The accused had fled leaving the bike on the spot on which they had come to commit the crime. During the investigation, the said bike was found stolen on June 5 in Ganaur police station area of Sonepat. A case has been registered in Ganaur police station regarding the incident.

Police said that all the teams formed were investigating various aspects thoroughly. CIA Three police team, on the basis of secret information received late on Sunday evening, raided and succeeded in arresting 6 miscreants including the gang leader from Jua village of Sonipat.
The accused were identified as Prashant resident Purkhas, Ajay resident Kard Hall Sheikhpura, Sahil resident Pugthala, Prince resident Jua, Mohit resident Kundli Sonipat and Keshav resident Dhoop Singh Nagar Panipat. During interrogation, the accused admitted to committing the robbery.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that Prashant is the kingpin of the gang. Prashant, Ajay, Sahil and Prince became friends in Sonipat jail. Accused Prashant was in Sonipat jail for the robbery of Rs 19 lakh, Ajay and Prince for the murder and Sahil for the robbery. All the four accused came out of jail on bail at different times.
