Pune Porsche accident: Two IT professionals were killed in a car accident in Pune’s Kalyaninagar area in the early hours of Sunday morning when a Porsche driven by a drunken minor hit their motorcycle. The minor was granted bail hours after the incident on the condition that Yerwada would work with the traffic police for 15 days and write an essay on road accidents. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday expressed shock and surprise at the Juvenile Justice Board’s meek stance on the car accident. Fadnavis told reporters that the police have sought permission from the High Court to try the minor, who was granted bail, as an adult.

“The JJ Board’s order was shocking and surprising as it took a very lenient view of such a heinous crime. The Pune Police had requested the board to allow the teenager to act as an adult as he was 17 years old. But the board ‘perceived and filed the application. ‘ was classified and set aside and he was released on bail, which led to public outrage, Fadnavis said.
