After 53 years, this year Puri’s Rath Yatra is of two days. The first day of the Yatra has been completed today (Sunday) with sunset. The chariots of Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra have stopped. Now the night worship and Monday morning worship will be done on the chariots only. Tomorrow morning after the regular worship, the Rath Yatra will start again from around 9 o’clock.

According to Dr. Jyoti Prasad, the almanac maker of Jagannath temple, tomorrow morning at 4 o’clock there will be Mangala Aarti of the Lord. After this, Khichdi Bhog-Prasad will be offered to the Lord at 7 o’clock in the morning.

First of all Balabhadra’s chariot was pulled. After this, the chariots of Subhadra and Jagannath ji were pulled. The sun has set, due to which the Yatra has been stopped. Now tomorrow morning after the regular worship, the Rath Yatra will start again from around 9 o’clock.

President Draupadi Murmu pulled Subhadra’s chariot with devotees

After Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra’s chariot has started moving forward. President Draupadi Murmu also pulled the chariot of the goddess along with the devotees. After this she has returned from here and will again join the Rath Yatra tomorrow morning.
