New Delhi: Weather Update Meteorological Department has warned of rain in 15 states. Of these, a red alert has been issued in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim. Monsoon reached Gujarat earlier, now it has not advanced
Normally Monsoon enters Gujarat between 15th and 20th June, but this time Navsari, Gujarat received monsoon rains only on 11th June. Ramashray Yadav, a scientist at the Ahmedabad Meteorological Center, said that the monsoon has not progressed due to the southwest disturbance. It will move to other parts including parts of Ahmedabad and Saurashtra till June 20.

Covers most parts of Saurashtra till June 25. Upto 30th June covering entire Gujarat. According to IDM, storm may occur in many districts of Gujarat in next 5 days. Heavy rain is likely to occur in Valsad, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli on June 19.

What will the weather be like in the future?
Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and West Bengal are under red and orange alert for heavy rain for next 2-3 days. Here the storm can blow at a speed of 30-40 km per hour.

Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada may experience rain with thundershowers. Also, winds can reach 40-50 kmph. Such weather can last for 3-4 days.

A cyclonic storm has formed over southwest Rajasthan, which may bring light to moderate rain over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh with wind speed of 40-60 kmph.
