Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan has said that the district police is on high alert regarding the upcoming 15th August and tight security arrangements have been made and preparations are going on effectively for comprehensive security arrangements.

He said that about 850 police officers and employees of the district police will be deployed in view of the Independence Day being celebrated at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium on Barnala Road at the district level.

He said that apart from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium, comprehensive security arrangements have been made in the entire police district Sirsa for Independence Day.

The Superintendent of Police said that adequate arrangements have also been made for traffic and vehicle parking so that the general public does not face any problem in movement during the celebrations.

Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan instructed all police officers and employees to exercise utmost caution and vigilance during their duty. The Superintendent of Police said that the district police is fully prepared for 15 August and strict security arrangements have been made. He said that strict action will be taken if any kind of negligence is found during duty.

On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that no kind of lapse will be tolerated from the security point of view. On this occasion, the Superintendent of Police has instructed all the station in-charges to conduct special checking campaigns at hotels, restaurants, dharamshalas, guest houses etc. in their respective areas and obtain information about the people staying there.

Hotel and restaurant operators were instructed not to give rooms to any person without an ID card and note the full name, address and mobile number of the person staying in the register and inform the concerned police station so that complete information about them can be obtained.

The Superintendent of Police said that if any suspicious person comes and stays in a hotel or any other place, then immediately inform the police so that any criminal incident does not recur.

He said that during the checking campaign, the hotel operators were also told to get the employees working in the hotel verified and keep a complete record of the people staying in hotels and dharamshalas in the register. Apart from this, the general public has been requested to take full caution while renting their house and get the police verification of the tenant done.

He said that during duty, the common man should be treated in a friendly manner and their cooperation should be taken and a close watch should be kept on antisocial and suspicious people.
