On Monday, 19th August, Bhadra will remain till 1.30 pm on Rakshabandhan. Due to this, the auspicious time of tying Rakhi will start only after 1.30 pm.

Apart from Bhadra, Chaughadiya, Lagna or any special time is not considered for the auspicious time on Rakshabandhan.

Sisters can tie Rakhi to their brothers anytime after Bhadra ends till sunset. Although there is no rule of celebrating Rakshabandhan at night in any scripture, but if for some reason you are not able to celebrate Rakshabandhan during the day, then there is a tradition of tying Rakhi even after sunset.
