Chandigarh, August 12 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Nayab Singh Saini said that the young generation should take a pledge to bring change in the society through their influence and make India a developed nation so that the Prime Minister’s dream of a developed India can be realized. He said that the more the youth participate in democracy, the more the country and the state will benefit.

Various schemes are being implemented by the government for the youth, the youth should take advantage of these schemes and contribute to making India a developed nation.

The dream of a developed India is not only the vision of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi but also the dream of every citizen. This vision can be achieved by taking everyone along.

The Chief Minister was addressing the state level program organized on International Youth Day in Panchkula today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Drone Didi Yojana, Contractor Saksham Yuva Yojana and IT Saksham Yuva Yojana.

Announcement of giving subsidy of 80 percent or maximum Rs 8 lakh to SHGs for purchasing drones and equipment

The Chief Minister said that the Namo Drone Didi Yojana announced by the Prime Minister has been implemented in the state. Under this scheme, 500 women and 5000 women of self-help groups will be trained by the year 2025 and a drone will be made available to the self-help groups, which will provide assistance to the farmers in the agricultural sector. He announced a subsidy of 80 percent or maximum Rs 8 lakh to SHGs for purchasing drones and equipment. This work will cost about Rs 54 crore.

He said that under the Contractor Saksham Yuva Yojana, 10 thousand youth having engineering degree and diploma will be given skill training so that they can start their own business and become contractors. These youth will have to register on the Haryana Engineering Works Portal. After this, they will also be provided an interest-free loan of up to Rs 3 lakh for one year. In this way, such youth will be able to take contracts of up to Rs 25 lakh in Panchayati Raj institutions and bodies.

Announcement of increase in unemployment allowance given to youth registered under Saksham Yuva Yojana

He said that under the IT Saksham Yojana, courses will be prepared by Skill University in technical fields like networking, mobile etc. for the youth making a career in the IT sector, which will provide employment opportunities to the youth in various departments and private sectors. The Chief Minister announced an increase in the unemployment allowance given to the youth registered under Saksham Yuva Yojana. He said that from the month of August, 12th pass youth will be provided an amount of Rs 900 to 1200, graduates from Rs 1500 to Rs 2000 and postgraduates from Rs 3000 to Rs 3500. This announcement will benefit 2 lakh 61 thousand youth of the state.

During the program, the Chief Minister gave away cheques worth Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand to the students of poor families who scored 90 percent marks in class 12 under the Medhavi Scholarship Scheme. Apart from this, the Skill Yatra was flagged off. This journey will work to make the youth of the state aware and alert towards skills.

The Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of talent among the youth. The government is making dedicated efforts to give shape to the thinking of the youth. By implementing many effective programs like Make in India, Startup India, successful efforts are being made to increase employment opportunities for the youth, to make the youth skilled and to infuse new enthusiasm in them, so that the economic condition of the country and the state can be strengthened further.

The Chief Minister said that along with Vishwakarma Skill University, modern youth training programs are being run in many technical institutes to make the youth proficient in skill development. In these, more than one lakh youth have been provided skills so that the youth can become self-reliant and stand on their own feet. Apart from this, MSME department has been formed to promote micro, small and medium scale industries.

Changes made in NEP to make every youth of the state skilled by 2030

The Chief Minister said that many changes have been made in the state under the new National Education Policy. Along with this, technical institutes have been linked with industries and skills have been promoted in them so that every youth of the state can be made skilled by 2030. He said that the Haryana government is working on this in a better way so that this goal of sustainable development can be achieved easily.

The Chief Minister said that the present government has filled 1.44 lakh posts on the basis of merit. Apart from this, 37 thousand posts will be filled soon. He said that the Department of Foreign Cooperation has been formed to provide employment to the youth abroad and to get rid of fraud and the work of making passports of thousands of youth studying in colleges has been done. A new policy of startup has been made due to which the state is emerging as a better center.
