Fatehabad: A violent clash broke out between two parties over a land dispute in Pirthala village of Tohana town. One person died in this while 10-12 people including a woman were injured, who have been admitted to the hospital in Tohana. The deceased person was a retired sub-inspector. As soon as the information about the incident was received, a large number of police forces reached the spot. Firing took place in the dispute and three vehicles were overturned.
The person killed in the land dispute in Pirthala village has been identified as retired police sub-inspector Om Prakash and he was a resident of Sirsa. In this case, Roshni Devi, wife of Om Prakash, a resident of Sarsa and her sister Kalavati have a dispute over land with the family of their late brother and uncle and in this regard they had also given a complaint to the SP of Fatehabad.
In which he told that his father Manfool died 20 years ago. Both his brothers also passed away 7 years ago. His father Manfool, uncle Patram and Malu Ram had land in common. After the death of all three, the heirs of all three occupied 137 Kanal 4 Marla land.
He told that he, his sister Kalavati, resident of Jhansal, Rajasthan and the wives, daughters and sons of his brothers were occupying the land of his father’s share. In 2020, he gave an application in the Tehsil office Tohana for partition, but the heirs of his brothers did not come to the court. On this, the partition was done as per his application. The complainant told that now 34 Kanal 11 Marla land comes in his and his sister Kalavati’s share. He told that now the wife and son of his late brother Narsi along with the heirs of his uncle prevent him from harvesting the crop from his land.
On Wednesday, Roshni Devi and others reached the village with people in half a dozen vehicles. One vehicle also had cement pillars so that the land could be fenced. During this, they went to Rajendra’s dhani, who had occupied the land, where a dispute broke out between the two parties and firing took place. During this, about 8-9 people including Roshni Devi and Omprakash got injured in the lathi-charge. They were taken to Tohana Civil Hospital, where Omprakash was declared dead.
