A Deputy SP in Uttar Pradesh Police has been made a constable again. The Deputy SP was reverted to his original post of appointment, constable. Kripa Shankar Kanaujia, who was CO Bighapur in Unnao, has been appointed as a constable. Kripa Shankar Kanaujia has been posted as a constable in the F team in the 26th Battalion PAC Gorakhpur.
Let us tell you that CO Kripa Shankar Kanaujia was caught in a hotel with a female constable. He had disappeared after taking leave in July 2021. The then CO of Unnao, Kripa Shankar Kanaujia, had sought leave from SP Unnao on 6 July 2021 due to family reasons. But after the leave was approved, he went somewhere else instead of going home.
‘Checked in at a hotel in Kanpur’
It was told that he had checked in at a hotel in Kanpur. A female constable was also with him. During this time, the CO had switched off both his private and official mobile numbers. Here, when the CO’s wife, worried about his number being switched off, inquired, it was found that he had taken leave and left for home. On this, the wife called SP Unnao and asked for help.

Fearing something untoward, SP Unnao deployed the surveillance team and it was found that CO Kripa Shankar Kanaujia’s mobile network had stopped working after reaching a hotel in Kanpur. Unnao police reached that hotel in Kanpur, where the location of the CO was known.
The policemen found the CO and the female constable together in the Kanpur hotel. It is being told that Unnao police had brought along videos related to the CO as evidence. The CO and his female friend were captured in the CCTV camera while entering the hotel.
The report was sent to the government
After this incident, the report was sent to the government due to tarnishing the image of the department. After reviewing the entire matter, the government recommended reverting Kripa Shankar Kanaujia and making him a constable, after which ADG Administration issued an order to make the CO a constable.
