Chandigarh, August 5- The Cabinet, which met here today under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, approved the revision of pension/family pension (pre-2016 and post-2016) of retired judicial officers of Haryana Government in accordance with the Second National Judicial Pay Commission (SNJPC).
As per the amendment, now for judicial officers retired before 2016, the existing basic pension/family pension (as on 31st December 2015) will be revised by multiplying it by a factor of 2.81.
Alternatively, the pension/family pension can be revised by notional fixation of their pay as per the fitment table of Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Branch) and Haryana Senior Judicial Services Revised Pay Rules, 2023.
For judicial officers retired after 2016, pension calculation will be under the provisions of Rule 34 of Haryana Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2016. In addition, dearness relief will be admissible on the excess amount of pension/family pension as per orders issued from time to time.
The maximum limit of death-cum-retirement gratuity will be Rs 20 lakh, increased by 50 per cent of basic pay whenever dearness allowance increases and the limit of gratuity will be increased by 25 per cent.
The pension disbursing authorities will calculate and disburse the arrears of revised pension/family pension from January 1, 2016, after adjusting the interim relief already paid. An undertaking will be taken from the pensioners to refund any excess payment due to incorrect calculation of pension/family pension.
