Haryana weather: Monsoon has been active in Haryana for the last few days. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for 41 cities. According to the Meteorological Department, winds are blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in these cities.

The Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of lightning in Bhiwani, Tosham, Bhawani Kheda, Hansi, Hisar, Narnaund, Barada, Jagadhri, Chhachhrauli, Narayangarh, Panchkula.

At the same time, clouds are also seen in Nangal Chaudhary, Narnaul, Ateli, Mahendragarh, Kanina, Indri, Loharu, Charkhi Dadri, Bhiwani, Bawal, Rewari, Kosli, Matanhail, Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh, Beri Khas, Sampla, Rohtak, Adampur, Narnaund, Fatehabad, Radaur, Meham, Julana, Jind, Narwana, Ambala, Kalka, Barada, Jagadhar, Chhachhrauli, Narayangarh. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in these cities.

How much rain fell where

According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall occurred in Mahendragarh. The rainfall figure here was recorded at 22.5 mm. Apart from this, there was heavy rain in Jind, where 20.5 mm of rain fell. Apart from this, light drizzle occurred in Ambala, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Panipat and Panchkula districts. There was no rain in other districts, although the clouds remained.

Monsoon is kind in August

If we look at the data, 22 districts of Haryana have received 42% more rain than normal in the 10 days of August. Till now 53.9 mm of rain was to occur everywhere, but 76.7 mm of rain has occurred in these ten days. Among these, Fatehabad, Hisar, Kaithal, Karnal, Palwal, Panchkula, Panipat have received less than normal rainfall.

Less rainfall in July

This time Haryana has received the least rainfall in July in 5 years. If we look at the data, 549 mm of rain was recorded in 2018. 244.8 mm of rain was recorded in 2019, 440.6 in 2020, 668.1 in 2021, 472 in 2022, 390 in 2023 and 97.9 mm in 2024. Due to less rainfall, the paddy producing farmers of the state are facing huge losses. They have to irrigate their fields through tube wells.
