Jalandhar Accident: A speeding car hit a bike on the Delhi National Highway in Jalandhar, in which an LPU student died. The deceased has been identified as Bhavya Kashyap (23), a resident of Ludhiana.
Bhavya was studying law at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara. The incident happened on Sunday evening when Bhavya was going to Ludhiana on a Bullet. This accident happened near Goraya while returning. Bhavya died on the spot. The police have sent the body of the deceased for postmortem. Bhavya’s death has caused mourning in the entire family, because Bhavya was the only son in the family.
Sub Inspector Gurdeep Singh posted at Goraya police station said that the Road Safety Force teams reached the spot first. They tried to bandage Bhavya’s wounds, but he had already died. The accused was immediately arrested from the spot. He has been identified as Kamal son of Armajit Singh, resident of Patiala.
Kamal was travelling from Gurdaspur to Patiala in a Swift car with Patiala registration number. According to people present at the spot, the car was moving at a very high speed due to which it went out of control. Bhavya’s post-mortem has been conducted at Phillaur Civil Hospital. Sub Inspector Gurdeep Singh said that the arrested accused Kamal worked as a driver.
