PUNE: Vishal Agarwal, the father of the minor accused in the Pune Porsche crash case, was detained from Maharashtra’s Sambajinagar on Tuesday morning, news agency ANI reported quoting police.

Agarwal was on the run after his son was detained in connection with the rash driving case which claimed two lives in the city’s upscale Kalyaninagar area on Sunday.

“The Pune Police are seeking permission to try the juvenile accused as an adult under sections of the Juvenile Justice Act, commissioner of police Amitesh Kumar had said on Monday.

“Police have taken Sunday’s incident seriously. We have taken action under section 304 of IPC, which is a non-bailable section as it was a heinous crime…A drunk car driver was rashly driving on a narrow lane,” ANI quoted the Commissioner of Police as saying.
