8 points, Rahul’s reason for choosing Rae Bareli

Rae Bareli Lok Sabha constituency is the stronghold of the Gandhi family.

The victory in Rae Bareli is also big in the sense that the family also regained the lost seat of Amethi.
While leaving the seat, Sonia Gandhi had said to the people of Rae Bareli – I am handing over my son to you.
The family also wants Rahul to represent Rae Bareli.
Senior leaders of the party have also advised that Rahul should keep the Rae Bareli seat for himself.
Sonia had made Rahul understand that UP is very important for Congress. So they should keep Rae Bareli with them.
A member of the Congress Central Election Steering Committee said that in the CEC meeting, it was decided that Rahul should remain in the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat.
