Weather Today: Monsoon is seen in full color. On one hand, Mumbai, which is called the economic capital of the country, is in a bad state due to heavy rains. At the same time, clouds are preparing for very heavy rains in many states including Uttar Pradesh. The India Meteorological Department i.e. IMD has said on Monday that there is a possibility of rain in the eastern and northeastern areas of India for the next 5 days.

According to IMD, light to moderate rains are going to occur in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, East Rajasthan and Central India during the next 5 days. During this time, there is a possibility of sporadic to moderate rains in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Punjab and West Rajasthan.

The Meteorological Department has informed that there are chances of heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan from 10 to 12 July, Uttarakhand on 8, 10, 11 and 12 July, Punjab on 8 July, Haryana and Chandigarh on 11-12 July, Uttar Pradesh on 8 and 9 July, Madhya Pradesh on 8 to 12 July, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on 8-9 July. Whereas, very heavy rains may occur in Uttar Pradesh on 10-12 July.

Eastern and Northeast India

Here, heavy rains may occur in Bihar and Odisha on 8 July. Very heavy rains may occur in Bihar from 9 to 12 July. Whereas, heavy rains are expected in most of the states of the Northeast between 10 and 12 July.

Apart from this, heavy rains may occur in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra from 9 to 12 July. Whereas, there are chances of very heavy rains in the Ghat areas of Central Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa on Monday. Whereas, coastal Karnataka may receive very heavy rains after Monday from July 9 to July 12. There are chances of heavy rains in Gujarat region till July 9, Kerala and Mahe till July 8, Telangana till July 9.
