Heavy rains have been lashing Mumbai and its suburbs since midnight on Sunday. Due to this, water has entered the low-lying areas and traffic has been greatly affected. Many local trains have been canceled due to water logging on the railway tracks. Therefore, the citizens who left for work early on Monday have to bear a lot of pain.

A large amount of water has accumulated on the railway track in Dadar, Matunga, Bhandup, Andheri, Kurla area. LTT and Chunabhatti stations on Harbor Marg are also waterlogged. Heavy rains have affected Central and Harbor Railways.

Local trains coming from Kalyan towards CSMT have stopped. Also local trains from Thane to Vashi are completely stopped. On the other hand, long distance trains have also been cancelled. Due to this, there is a huge rush of passengers at the stations.

The railway administration is currently working to smooth the traffic. Passengers have been requested to be patient. Heavy rains have also affected long-distance trains. Panchavati Express from Manmad to Mumbai has been cancelled.

Sinhagad Express and Deccan Queen Express from Pune to Mumbai have also been cancelled. At present local service is starting slowly. Hence the congestion at the stations is reducing.

Meanwhile, the rains have also caused major traffic jams on the Eastern and Western Expressways. Due to waterlogging in Andheri Subway, Wadala, Shivdi, citizens who have gone out for work have been stranded.

Therefore, citizens should go out of the house only if there is work. Also, the administration has appealed to plan the journey accordingly, keeping in mind the transport system. As some have started their efforts to reach the desired destination by road, it is seen that there is only confusion.
